Intercourse, Pennsylvania

Formerly known as Cross Keys, the Amish Town of Intercourse was founded in 1754. The name became Intercourse in 1814, and
was believed to have meant "fellowship" during that time.  Tourism and farming are the major industries of Intercourse.  

Many Amish farms surround the village of Intercourse, so the local Amish as well as tourists converge on the small town.  It is a
great place to shop and experience the culture a bit closer.  Intercourse is popular due to quaint shops, restaurants, museums and
lodging located within the small town.  The movie, "Witness" was filmed in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, and is a must see town while
on one's Amish vacation.
